About Side Stage Tour:

At Side Stage Tour, we provide a compassionate community for spouses of touring musicians to share experiences, find solace, and build lasting connections no matter where you live. We are currently in the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with exciting plans to expand our impact and reach.

Role Overview:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. As our Board Secretary, you will play a vital role in shaping the vision, strategy, and impact of Side Stage Tour during this pivotal stage of our growth. This is a volunteer position and offers a unique opportunity to contribute your skills to an organization that uplifts and supports an extraordinary community.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with fellow board members to provide strategic direction and oversight for the organization.

  • Schedule meetings: Creating agendas and setting meeting times

  • Take minutes: Recording what happens at meetings and ensuring they are approved

  • Maintain records: Keep track of board member terms and store official documents

  • Monitor compliance: Ensure the organization follows legal requirements

  • Prepare reports: Create comprehensive board reports

  • Advocate for the mission of Side Stage Tour and help grow its visibility and reach.

  • Participate in quarterly board meetings (remote or in-person, as needed).

  • Assist with fundraising, community engagement, and event planning efforts.

  • Offer guidance and expertise in areas such as marketing, finance, operations, or program development (based on your skills and background).

  • Support our transition to 501(c)(3) status, ensuring compliance with nonprofit regulations and best practices.

  • Act as an ambassador for Side Stage Tour within your network and the broader community

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the mission and vision of Side Stage Tour.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to commit time and energy to attend meetings and participate in organizational activities.

  • Experience or interest in areas such as non-profit management, fundraising, marketing, or event coordination is a plus.

  • A connection to the touring musician lifestyle is preferred but not required.

Time Commitment:

Board members are expected to dedicate approximately 5-10 hours per month to their responsibilities, including attending meetings, supporting initiatives, and contributing to organizational growth.
